Hill, Peterson earn Athlete of the Week status

PETERSON

HILL

Following the outstanding individual performances this weekend at the Imery’s Tip Off Tournament in Three Forks, Anaconda’s Braxton Hill and Sydnie Peterson each earned Copperhead Country Athletes of the Week.

Hill, a 6-foot-2 senior point guard, was an eyelash away from tying the school record for points in a game in Friday night’s win over Jefferson. His 42 points was just two shy of Rob Hurley’s school record 44 set in 1980 at Billings West. Hill then poured in 17 during Saturday’s win over previously unbeaten Big Timber.

Peterson, a 5-9 senior point guard, scored 29 points over the weekend including a game-high 20 in Anaconda’s win over Big Timber Saturday afternoon.

Following the season, each nominated athlete will be entered for a chance at getting lunch with a family member at an Anaconda restaurant compliments of Copperhead Country.
