Copperhead boys rout Corvallis 62-23

CORVALLIS — The Copperheads held the hometown Blue Devils scoreless in the first quarter en route to a remarkable 62-23 win at the Inferno. 
Anaconda (6-1, 2-0) led 45-6 at the half and played the majority of the second half with a running clock with the 40-point mercy rule. 
Anaconda’s Braxton Hill led the team with 22 followed by fellow senior Trent Mikalatos with 19 and junior forward Zeke Buck’s 13. Corvallis was led ty Ridge Albright’s seven. 
The Copperheads return home for a 6B league matchup against Florence Saturday afternoon with the tip expected around 4 p.m.
With Hill’s 22, he is now 30 points behind Scott Hurley for third on the boys’ All Time scoring list at Anaconda High and 10 points behind his sister, Torry, on the combined list.
